Trying to chdir
Sometimes, you may get the error "Trying to chdir to . does not exist.checked 4 files" while restoring a cPanel backup file. Here is the solution to fix the issue.

You may get the error  “Trying to chdir to . does not exist.checked 4 files” while restoring a cPanel backup file.

/scripts/restorepkg hostingt
cPanel restorepkg 2
Force Mode: no
Reseller Privs Restore: yes
Searching /home....
Found backup-filename !
Trying to chdir to . does not exist.checked 4 files.....

You are getting this error because your backup format is not valid. Please rename the backup to one of the following valid formats.

cpmove-{USER}
cpmove-{USER}.tar
cpmove-{USER}.tar.gz
USER.tar
USER.tar.gz
backup-{BACKUP-DATE_TIME}_{USER}.tar
backup-{BACKUP-DATE_TIME}_{USER}.tar.gz

Now try again, and you will be able to restore it without any issue.
